I am privileged to represent my family law and probate clients. Their courage in the face of profound and difficult change is a continual source of inspiration to me.
Valerie Browne-Matherly is a family law and probate attorney who established her own practice in 1996. Previously, she was a family law attorney at the law firm of Friedman, Handler and Karp in Boston. She has concentrated her practice in family law since 1985. Valerie has litigated divorce and custody cases, will contests, paternity matters, domestic violence and modification actions. She has a special interest in collaborative law and was trained as a collaborative lawyer in 2002. Whether serving as a litigator or collaborative lawyer, Valerie's perspective is always practical, sensitive and cooperative.
Valerie is an AV® Rated Family Law Attorney. She was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in the national publication The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Collaborative Law: Family Law. She was also selected by members of the Massachusetts legal community and is featured in the November, 2008 issue of Massachusetts Super Lawyers (Law & Politics).
